CDS Units are designed to withstand equivalent fluid pressures that the unit may experience during its life. CDS units can be designed to withstand any loading specification from pedestrian to aircraft loading.

All cast in place concrete designs are based on using structural concrete with minimum ultimate strength of 4,000 pounds per square inch (psi), with steel reinforcement having a miminum ultimate yield strength of 60(10³)psi. Concrete and steel reinforcement are specified for site-specific conditions
